| Hello everyone! I thought I would post. It's been over nine months since I did this. It has been an eventful nine months. Marked by lots of work, travel (been to both coasts ten times), a trip to Disney World, and last but not least the birth of our beautiful daughter Abby. Then, on January 20th.
Just recently at Walt Disney World.
I will try to post something again before too long. God is good. | | |
| here's a question for everyone...
if you had to spend a freezing winter day stranded in Times Square, New York City, under one of the following scenarios, which would you choose?
1. clothed only in your gym shorts and t-shirt with one million dollars in your pocket and your head shaved
or
2. fully clothed, no money, with a big nazi swastika on your forehead and a hummer limo to roll around in
hmmmm???
and which one do you think i would choose?
let me know | | |
| hey everybody, it's good to see you. i have a quick story for you and then you can be on your way hop-skipping through xangaville...
a country preacher was trying to be a good steward of his church's finances. he knew the outside of the church needed a fresh coat of paint, so he went to home depot and bought one can of paint and twelve five gallon buckets. following in the footsteps of our Lord with the five loaves and two fishes, he poured a small amount of paint into each bucket and then filled each bucket with water. this enabled him to cover all the outside of the church with one bucket of paint. satisfied with the results, he went home that evening. sure enough, that night a massive rainstorm moved in and completely washed all the paint off the outside of the church. when the pastor showed up early the next morning, he was devastated. immediately he fell to his knees and cried out to the Lord, "God, i don't understand. all i wanted to do was take care of your house and be a good steward of what you had entrusted to me!"
the pastor was shocked when instantly a voice boomed down from the skies, "REPAINT, AND THIN NO MORE!"
this story made me think. God is pleased when we are good stewards of his resources, yet He wants and deserves our best at all times. i must not hold back when it comes to what He has called me to do. may you smile all through your day and help someone else realize that life is good.

| Welcome friends, hope you all had happy and healthy holidays. Our Christmas and New Year's was a lot of fun. We had a good time with mine and Becca's families. I somehow managed to lose a multitude of card games, but I do not feel too bad since there seems to be an abundance of card sharps sprouting up in our respective families. I am still stinging from a painful comeback loss to Becca and her sister Tamatha during a high-stakes game of trivial pursuit. Two weeks later and I am still crying myself to sleep. My brother Neal is home from Africa, so it has been nice to spend some time with him and catch up. He gave me a sweet Tuareg sword from Ougadougou for Christmas. So if any potential bad guys come lookin' for trouble at my crib and they get past the firearms, they might get some particulars lopped off in authentic tribal fashion. Anyway, Neal left this morning for Virginia beach to do some grad work at seminary before heading back to the motherland.
If you have have talked to me lately or seen the book I read during my last post you might know that I am on somewhat of a health kick. We have stopped drinking tap water in favor of bottled or filtered water. I am also looking for a good Candida cleanse to do. What is Candida? Glad you asked. It's a yeast that naturally occurs in a small amount in our bodies. But, if you have ever taken antibiotics at any time in your life, then the Candida has probably overgrown your stomach, colon, liver, etc., causing or contributing to almost every disease and discomfort known to modern science, including: obesity, acid reflux, acne, diabetes, constipation, and hundreds of others. So, anyway, I want that Candida out of my system! Just another step on the highway to good health.
**Warning!** Shameless plug follows...
We're ready to have the baby. It could be any day. The excitement is at full teem. In preparation for the baby we are selling Becca's Mustang ('02, 94000 miles, $6000). If anyone wants a shot at it before we toss it to the ravenous classified readers, get back at me. We are unloading it quick.
Prov.12:19 "The truthful lip shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment."
Well, I've thoroughly enjoyed this little visit. Everyone have a great week, and remember, "Never get in a fight with an ugly person, because they have nothing to lose."
